Eight players from the Texoma area made the cut Saturday at the West Texas Amateur, hosted by Wichita Falls Country Club.
In the Open Flight, Seymour's Matt Porter, who plays collegiately for McMurry University in Abilene, leads all local players with a 2-round score of 1-over 143.
MSU's Colton Kowalick, of Wichita Falls Rider HS, is next among locals with a two-day total of 2-over 144, while Wichitan Michael Mills sits at +6, Lakeside City's Bobby Stone is at +7 and Wichitan Scott Porter is at eight-over.
In the Senior (55+) group, Trip Long (+10) and Gary Watson (+11) will play in the final round on Saturday.
Finally, in the Super-Senior group, Wichitan Bill Holstead is the only local player in the field, and is leading through two rounds after shooting matching 70s in the first two rounds.
The third and final round tees off Sunday morning at 8 a.m. at Wichita Falls Country Club.
