United Regional Laying Off Workers

United Regional Health Care Systems is expected to be laying off some of it's workers.

Lynn Weisen with the healthcare group tells Newschannel 6 that it is 14 workers from the laboratory. Respiratory care and central services  in an official statement Tuesday Night.. 

United Regional states they found ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining quality care and services.

They also say the effected employees are being considered for other positions and may stay with United Regional.
