Congressman Mac Thornberry traveled to the Rio Grande Valley on Monday to see the border crisis first hand. The congressman is coming to the Newschannel 6 studio today to talk about what he witnessed, along with other policy issues concerning President Obama.
The congressman is in opposition of the president's procedures on foreign policy and immigration laws.
"Number one, he negotiated with terrorists," said Congressman Thornberry. "Number two he turned loose 5 of the most senior Taliban commanders and number three the president broke the law."
Congressman Thornberry is still fighting the president's forward momentum on the border crisis and voted in favor of the passed legislature that prohibits the expansions on the presidents deferred action for childhood arrivals.
The congressman says the key to fixing the border crisis is to return the children to their home countries immediately.
