Aggravated Assault Arrest

Wichita Falls Police have arrested a man for Aggravated Assault. 

29-year-old Danny Almanza is charged with Aggravated Assault, 3 counts of Assault on a Peace Officer, and Resisting Arrest. 

Wichita Falls Police responded to the 1500 of 14th Street just before midnight Tuesday night because of a disturbance. Police say Almanza showed up at the home, started making accusations, and then punched a female victim in the face. A male tried to grab Almanza and pull him away. Almanza swung a knife at him.

When officers tried to arrest Almanza, he because aggressive and resisted them. Three officers received minor injures. 

Almanza is currently being held in the Wichita County Jail.
