Bowie City Council Approved Tax Increase

 Taxes were at the top of city council members minds tonight in Bowie. The city council approved a 5.1 tax increase at the meeting. They also 


approved and adopted the budget for the upcoming year... City Manager Ricky Tow Talked about why the increase was needed.


"we're trying to keep the amenities and keep the costs down as much as we can, but everything is rising. so we have to accomplish the same  amenities we got to be able to meet that, the cost to do business."


Residents will be given one more opportunity to voice their opinions at another public hearing.
