New Information on Man Arrested After Police Chase

Wichita Falls released new information about some items found inside a car during a chase Wednesday night.

Police said the Wichita Falls Police Gang Task Force discovered a stolen pistol with a loaded magazine and crystal meth inside the car driven by Robert Sanchez.

On Wednesday night, police said they tried to pull the 28-year-old over because he had warrants out for his arrest.  Sanchez slowed down, but then speed off.

Police chased him until he lost control of his vehicle at the corner of Merrimac and Elmwood North.  He ended up hitting a tree on the property of a vacant home.

Police said Sanchez got a little banged up from the air bag deploying.  He was treated at the scene for his injuries and then was hauled off to jail

He is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Evading Arrest, and Theft of a Firearm.  His bond has been set at $107,000.
