Former Rider Raider star J.T. Barrett, now the quarterback at Ohio State, earned co-Freshman of the Week honors from the Big 10 Conference, the league announced Monday!
Barrett, starting in place of the injured Braxton Miller, completed 12 of 15 passes for 226 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a 34-17 win over Navy in Baltimore. He also rushed nine times for a team-high 50 yards in his college debut.
Barrett and the Buckeyes will host Virginia Tech Saturday at 7 p.m. CDT in his home debut at Ohio Stadium.
