Texomans Stand Up For Cancer

    Thousands of people across the country stood up to cancer Friday night. 

    These people are investing in the future of collaborative cancer research.

    One in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their life times.

    Friday night people came together to be apart of the movement.

    We spoke with a Texoma Oncologist to find out why it's so important.

    "I would encourage anyone to contribute as best they can its important we want to be able to cure cancer cure it as soon as we can," Kent B. Ulrich, Site Research Leader at Texas Oncology said. 

    The telethon played Friday night on hundreds of stations across the country

    To date "Stand Up To Cancer" has raised more than $261 Million.
