After School Fishing Starts

Tuesday was the first of four chances to get an idea if your kids might like to fish.

The Wichita Falls Parks and Rec Department and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are in charge of the after school fishing program.  On Tuesday they were at the South Weeks Pond just off of Southwest Parkway.

It's a great way to get them involved and use the techniques of fishing.

The next day to take part is September 11th.  It's open for kids five to 16-years-old.  It costs $3 for the first child and $2 for each additional child you bring with you.  However, they have to be from the same family.

If you can't make it this week, they will do it again next Tuesday and Thursday!  The fun starts at 4:30p.m. each day.
