Midwestern State's Casey Fletcher garnered Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors September 9th when the league announced its weekly awards.

The senior from Eddy played a key role while helping the Mustangs to a 3-1 record in the season opening Hampton Inn-vitational.

Fletcher, who leads the LSC with 6.71 digs per set, recorded a career high 36 digs in a five-set win over Colorado State-Pueblo in the season opener.
