University To Vote For Guns On Campus

Some students at Baylor University might work to change standing rules for guns on campus, according to KWTX 10 News in Waco. The Baylor University Student Senate is considering allowing those that have a Concealed Handgun License to carry guns on campus.

As of now, the Texas law says CHL holders are only allowed to keep guns in a locked car in parking lots. But a vote could change that.

The school said they disagree with open carry on school grounds. However, other CHL holders said it could be a good idea.

The idea will go to vote next week. If voted yes, the proposal would then go to the Baylor Board of Regents for an approval. The board will decide if Baylor University will be the first University in the state to allow guns on campus.
