Texomans Line Up For iPhone 6

The long-awaited iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus went on sale Friday.

There were long lines at many Apple, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon stores around the world. That includes the AT&T store on Lawrence Road in Wichita Falls.

About 25 people were lined up early Friday morning to get their hands on the new iPhone.  Many of them started lining up around 5:30 p.m. Thursday night.

"I'm in line today because I love the Apple products. I have everything Apple that I can. I've had the iPhone since the 3G came out. So I decided to wait in line for this one," said Connor Nicosia.

Apple says when pre-orders began, it sold more than four million of the smartphones in the first 24 hours.

The new phone is thinner, has a bigger screen, the new IOS 8 software and other new features.
