SAFB Honors POWs & MIA Soldiers

Sheppard Air Force Base honored POWs and MIA Soldiers on Friday with a ceremony.

The ceremony included a parade demonstrating the American Flag and other flags that constitute USA Military Forces.  There were also flags of the countries involved with NATO/ENJJPT forces and the POW and the MIA flag.

Also, the squadrons demonstrated military precision and competence as they marched around the field.

More than 600,000 military members are reported as POWs or MIA soldiers dating as far back as the revolutionary war.

In addition to the Revolutionary War, in the Korean War, there more than 7,000 POWs.
