Fire Blazes in Downtown Chillicothe

A fire started at Cooper's Collectable in Chillicothe, Texas at 10 A.M. Tuesday morning after someone took out old equipment and used a cutting torch that sparked the fire that took three hours to put out.

Two adjacent buildings caught fire, and the blaze destroyed all three buildings. The buildings were of an older design, with wood on the inside and brick on the outside.

Chillicothe Volunteer Fire Department, Vernon Fire Department, Quanah Fire Department, and Odell Fire Department were all present at the scene.

Traffic is delayed around the area, with the Texas Department of Transportation rerouting drivers.
