It was a big night for Wichita Falls, Thursday night was the 3rd annual Fashion Night Out event.
From January until Thursday night, Fashion Night Out committee members were planning meetings, deciding who was doing what and who all was interested in participating in such a wonderful event.
Fashion Night Out benefits two organizations right here in the community: Faith Refuge and the North Texas Area United Way.
"Our community is concerned for our homeless women and for our after school programs for children so they can learn to succeed and they do learn to succeed and that they have a safe haven to study and excel," said Fashion Night Out committee member, Dottie Murphy.
"It's phenomenal the support of the community, the sponsors, the attendees it takes a huge committee to put this event on and it goes to great causes. The women of faith refuge and the education programs that we support for children and the youth," said Director of Marketing and Communication for the North Texas Area United Way, Alicia Christoff.
"I think it shows what a wonderful commitment that Wichita Falls and the people here show to all of the area organizations that try to benefit so many people that have needs," said Fashion Night Out sponsor, Carla Rogers.
About $89,000 dollars were raised last year at Fashion Night Out and this year, Murphy is hoping for all they can get and much more.
Over 600 people were in attendance at Fashion Night Out, Thursday evening.
