Final Flight of the 1917 Curtiss Jenny

The 1917 Curtiss Jenny—one of only five in existence—flew  its final flight this morning.

The last ride was auctioned off this past Monday to a retired air force pilot for $32,000.

The money will be used to help maintain the Jenny at its new home: Wichita Falls Municipal Airport.

The final drive of a Model-T troop carrier and a Model-T car also took place this morning. Both vehicles will also reside at the municipal airport.
