MSU'S Oland Wins LSC Golfer of the Week

Midwestern State's Derek Oland garnered Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week honors as released by league officials Thursday afternoon.

The senior from McKinney finished strong with a final round 68 to take second at The Territory Classic Tuesday in Duncan.

Oland notched back-to-back par-or-better rounds with a 72 and a 68 to close a stroke behind St. Mary's Alex Bissaro with a 4-under total of 140.

Oland delivered his 36th and 37th career par-or-better rounds while posting his school record 17th round in the 60s.

His efforts helped the Mustangs claim the team championship The Territory Classic.
