Nighthawks Introduce New Coaches

The Wichita Falls Nighthawks introduced their head coach/defensive coordinator, and offensive coordinator for their inaugural indoor season in a news conference Tuesday at United Regional Healthcare.

James Kerwin fills the top role after spending 2014 as the defensive coordinator of the Green Bay Blizzard, also in the IFL. He previously has coached at the small-college and UFL levels, being a member of the staff of the Omaha Nighthawks in the short-lived outdoor developmental league.

He brings with him Offensive Coordinator Rodrick "Rod" Miller, who served as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League in 2014. Miller has a long history in many indoor leagues, coaching in the AFL, IFL, and af2, among others.

The team also announced an extended partnership with United Regional Healthcare System, making the hospital the official trainers and healthcare providers of the Nighthawks.
