Hirschi's Cedric Battle Wins Player of the Week!

Hirschi running back Cedric Battle is the Texas Ford Player of the Week for Week 8 of the Texoma high school football season!

Battle rushed for 227 yards and two touchdowns in Hirschi's 20-10 win over Gainesville Friday night. He gained 142 of those yards and scored both of his touchdowns in the Huskies' 20-point fourth quarter, leading them back from a 10-0 deficit for the win.

Battle also threw for a two-point conversion, bringing the Huskies (2-5, 1-1 in District 4-4A Div. I) within 10-8 early in the quarter.

He is the leading rusher in Texoma this season, with 1,743 yards and 20 touchdowns in 147 carries, for an 11.9 yards per carry average.

Battle will lead the Huskies into Decatur Friday night for another pivotal district matchup. A win and some help from out of town would clinch a playoff spot for Hirschi.
