Newschannel 6 Set To Host Annual Safe Kids Event

Wichita Falls, TX – Newschannel 6 is gearing up for its annual Safe Kids event. It will be taking place Friday night at the J.S. Bridwell Agricultural Center.

"This is our 19th year doing Safe Kids and we like to pride ourselves in giving kids a safe venue for kids to be," said Chris Cunningham, Newschannel 6, Enterprise Manager.

The fun filled event in partnership with local organizations provide kids with the opportunity to trick-or-treat in one centralized location.

“Tons of vendors are going to be there. There will be plenty of things to see, neat things for Halloween and every booth there will be giving away candy,” said Cunningham.

Participants will also get to check out some of Newschannel 6 talents and staff as they sport their interesting and always fun Halloween costumes.

If you want to skip the dangers that come with door-to-door trick-or-treating Newschannel 6 encourages you to join our news team to celebrate Halloween.

The event starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.  Newschannel 6 will also open up the doors at 5:30 p.m. to allow children with special needs to get a head start and beat out all the other trick-or-treaters.

It is free, so get your costume together and join  us for a safe night, all while enjoying some great family fun.
