November Elections 2014

Federal, state and local elections take place today, Tuesday, November 4. 


Eyes are on Texas today where the state will have a new governor for the first time in more than a decade. Republican candidate Greg Abbott is up against Democratic candidate Wendy Davis. 


Abbott has been serving as Texas attorney general, but will leave that post due to his bid for Governor. Davis currently serves as a state Senator representing the Fort Worth area. 


Current Texas Governor, Rick Perry, has been serving in that capacity for 14 years. 


Polls are open until 7 p.m. We have a list of polling locations in Wichita County here


Newschannel 6 is Election Central. We have a team of people working to get you the results you need. Crews will spread out across Texoma to get results as they come in. We will also have crews at the Democratic and Republican watch parties in Wichita County. Results information will be running on the bottom of your screen when they start coming in tonight.
