Charities Presented with Checks

Local Wichita Falls charities were given a little charity of their own today after a local bank presented the chosen charities with funds for their use.

Texoma Community Credit Union  presented local agencies with an annual charitable contribution.  The event was held on November 5th at 8 a.m.  The combined amount given was $32,500. The following agencies receiving funds were considered TCCU's Charities of Choice.

            Hands to Hands

            North Texas Area United Way

            Communities in Schools

            Non Profit Center

            American Cancer Society

            Humane Society of Wichita County

            Children's Miracle Network

The presentation was held at the Sheppard Access Road location.  The donations were a result of giving efforts such as Skip a Pay, in which members donate $25 to skip their November or December loan payment; the Real Giving Checking Account, which contributes money to local agencies; and budgeted donations.

Chief Operations Officer, John Buckley conducted the check presentation and allowed each agency time to briefly inform staff about their charity.
