Burkburnett Boys and Girls Club Receives A Check for $25,000

In Burkburnett, the Boys and Girls Club received a check for $25,000 from Alcoa-Howmet for a new surrounding for their playground (a safety feature) and new bleachers.

The Boys and Girls Club of Burkburnett has partnered with Alcoa-Howmet in the past with painting the inside of their building before the start of the school year.

Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club, Donna Moore said she is very grateful.

"I'm just grateful, just very humbled by the support that we've received here at the Boys and Girls Club.  It's a great because the kids are worth it.  We have nearly 200 kids here every day, so the need was there and Alcoa-Howmet provided us with the funds to meet that need, so we are very grateful for that," said Moore.

The safety feature will provide a safe environment so that the kids can continue to grow and be productive.
