Honoring Texoma Veterans

Wichita Falls, TX - In observance of Veterans Day many Texoma organizations will be hosting ceremonies to honor those who served our country. 

The Wichita County Veteran Service Office will host a flag raising ceremony cemetery Monday at 8 a.m. to pay tribute to veterans who served our country. 

The Wichita Christian Student Council will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony. All veterans are invited to attend. The event will take at 9:15 a.m. in front of the school near its flag pole. Prior to the  flag raising students invite veterans to have coffee and donuts beginning at 8:45 a.m.

The Wichita Falls Independent School District will host ita annual Veterans Day ceremony at Memorial Stadium beginning at 11 a.m. 

United States Airforce Technical Sergeant Paul Mayberry is the guest speaker and a special performance by Southern Hills Elementary choir and Junior ROTC students from Harrell, Hirschi, Rider and Wichita Falls High School will be presenting the colors. All veterans are encouraged to wear their uniforms.
