Bowie Pair Signs College Letters

Bowie Lady Rabbits Petie Wolsey and Jordan Brightwell signed to play their sports in college on Wednesday's opening day of the Early Signing Period.

Wolsey will play softball for the Rambelles of Angelo State starting with the 2015-16 season. She was named All-District 8-2A last season as an outfielder and said her speed was a major factor for ASU's interest. She also said she liked Angelo State because she'd be able to play at MSU, so friends and family could see her.

Brightwell will play Division I basketball for the Tigers of Tennessee State University. She said TSU had actually been watching video of another player when they saw her and contacted her.

She said when she went on her visit, it was "the one." She also said playing D-I Basketball had always been a dream of hers and she is very excited to accomplish her goal.
