Iowa Park's Biddy Signs with Texas Tech

The Fall Early signing period continued Thursday with another Texoma Division I signing!

Iowa Park senior Jared Biddy signed a Letter of Intent to play baseball at Texas Tech University.

Biddy, who was district 6-3A MVP and a 2nd-Team TSWA All-State selection as a junior, comes from a family of Red Raiders. Both of his parents are Tech alums and he's been a fan his whole life.

He said he would likely play a utility role in Lubbock, where the coaches liked his work ethic, calling him a "grinder" on the field.

He said it's extra-special to sign with TTU as the Red Raiders come off their first-ever College World Series appearance.

"Tech turned their baseball program around last year," he said. "They made it to the College World Series, and it's just kinda exciting to be a part of something like that."

He also said he's looking forward to his senior season. "I think it's going to be a really, really good season," he said. "I think most of the guys are expecting nothing less than what we did last year. I think most of our goals are going to be the state championship. I don't see why that's out of reach."
