Bowie's Cantwell Signs with Oklahoma Wesleyan

Bowie High School standout Cooper Cantwell signed to play baseball for the Eagles of Oklahoma Wesleyan University Friday in the BHS Library.

A right-handed pitcher, he had a 4-4 record his junior year with a 1.92 earned run average, striking out 56 batters in 43 2/3 innings.
On Friday he said once he went on his visit to the campus in Bartlesville, there was no other decision to make.

"First thing when I got there was, it's absolutely gorgeous up there," Cantwell said. "I loved the coaches and they liked me, so it was just a great fit. I'm so excited, I just can't wait to get down there and move on with my career."
