United Robbery Suspect Captured

On Friday, November 14th, the Wichita Falls Police Department investigated two separate Aggravated Robbery reports, that both occurred at United Supermarkets gas pumps using handguns.

The first robbery occurred around  6:30 p.m.  at the United Market Street on Fairway, The victims of the robbery were at the United for gas when three black males with hoodies  in a vehicle pulled up near them. One of the passengers in the backseat called out to one of the victims. According to police, one of the victims knew the suspect and then got into the vehicle with the suspect to get out of the cold. One of the other suspects thenpointedd a handgun at the victim and demanded their stuff. The suspects took the victim's shoes and a pair of wireless earphones.

The second robbery occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the United Supermarket on Iowa Park Road. The victim was in his vehicle when a black male walked up to his window and asked for a cigarette. When the victim turned around to give the suspect a cigarette, the suspect had a handgun pointed to his face and demanded all his money. The suspect took the money and escaped with a taller black male in a dark colored passenger vehicle.

The investigation led to the identification of one of the suspects, Dequavious Sanderson, and the suspect vehicle. Warrants for Sanderson were issued.

On Saturday, November 15th, the WFPD Gang Task Force Officers located the suspect vehicle in the 400 block of Bailey and set up surveillance. The vehicle was later stopped in the 700 block of N. Rosewood.

The vehicle was occupied by Dequavious Sanderson and Tarbareon Williams. Two handguns, both found to be stolen, were located in the car and both Sanderson and Williams were found to be in possession of marijuana. Both men are currently in the Wichita County Jail on multiple charges:

Dequavious Sanderson was charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery, Theft of a Firearm, Criminal Trespass, and Possession of Marijuana in a Drug-Free Zone.

Tarbareon Williams was charged with Theft of a Firearm, Criminal Trespass, and Possession of Marijuana in a Drug-Free Zone.
