The Archer City Ladycats threatened Lindsay in every set they played Friday morning in front of a crowd of nearly 3,000 fans in Garland, but the Lady Knights were able to win each one, sweeping the Region I champions 25-22, 25-22, 25-21 in the UIL 2A State Semifinals.
Sophomore Bailey Rice led Archer City (37-9) with 11 kills, while junior Morgan Knobloch added eight of her own with an efficient .389 attack percentage.
Sophomore Eliot Hilbers led the Ladycats with 23 set assists, and junior Madison Lucido recorded a team-high 24 digs.
Senior Nicole Fleitman recorded a game-high 29 kills for Lindsay (41-4), though Archer City's defense did force her into a game-high 14 attack errors as well.
The Lady Knights move on to face Schulenberg (42-8), who defeated Iola in four sets to reach the finals. That game will be Saturday morning at 9 at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.
