Stop Diabetes 5K

 Around 29.1 million Americans have Diabetes, with more than five million not knowing they have it. Hundreds of students in North Texas suffer from type one Diabetes, with many others at risk for developing type two. 

That's why the American Diabetes Association is teaming up with the Fantasy of Lights Basketball Tournament to for a 5K event to raise awareness for Diabetes. It's November 28, 2014 at MSU/Sikes Lake Center. 

The Stop Diabetes 5K is $30 Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. with a ceremony following at 6:45 p.m. The 5K run/walk starts at 7 p.m. 

Funds raised will help further the mission of the American Diabetes Association: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
