Small Businesses Prepare For Small Business Saturday

There are two more days until Thanksgiving, but there are four more days until Small Business Saturday.

Harvest Drug and Gift employees are prepared for the holiday shopping week, especially this weekend, Small Business Saturday.

“Small Business Saturday is going to be a huge event for us.  We're going to be giving back to charities and we're going to have some opportunities for the community to give back as well as us to give back to the community," said Sales Associate at Harvest Drug and Gift, Allison McLaughlin.

This year, Harvest Drug and Gift has chosen Faith Refuge as the charity to donate to.

“For every customer that comes in and donates a new, unwrapped toy, they get to donate to their community and in return we give them 15-percent off of their purchase that day," said McLaughlin.

Giving back isn't the only thing Harvest Drug and Gift is doing for holiday shopping.

“Most of the vendors are doing something free or something at a discount, so it's a good opportunity for them to come in on Friday as well as Saturday,” said McLaughlin.

This week, many customers have been coming in through the doors to prepare for the holiday season and of course, much more is expected.

It's big support from the community for a small business on Small Business Saturday.

We're not just a regular store, we lucky that our community supports us," said McLaughlin.
