High Speed Chase Leads to Arrest

On Wednesday, November 26, at approximately 2:00 am, Wichita County's Sheriff's Deputies Lieutenant Patrick McFerrin and Sergeant Eric Wisch made a traffic stop at the intersection of Windthorst Road and U.S. 287.  The vehicle then took off at a high rate of speed, exceeding 115 miles per hour during the chase.  

The driver headed out to I-44 towards Sheppard Air Force before the vehicle was stopped on F.M. 890 near Hwy. 240.  25-year old Markell Andrew Mallett was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Motor Vehicle.
