Two Arrested For Burglary

On December 2nd around 2:30 p.m., Wichita Falls Police checked on a suspicious vehicle/person behind Tractor Supply at the 2600 block of Southwest Parkway.  Officers located a white male identified as Dustin Gamble with a Dodge Ram pickup.

Investigation revealed that the truck was stolen from the Kar Town Motor Co. the day before. Gamble was then placed under arrest for Theft.

 Gamble was found to be in possession of a bottle of prescription pills that were stolen during a Burglary of a Habitation earlier in the day. While speaking with Gamble, his girlfriend Larissa Retchless walked up carrying a gas can. She was identified as the female suspect involved in the same Burglary of a Habitation and she was found to be wearing jewelry that was stolen during that burglary.

Officers also located a large amount of property in the cab and the bed of the pickup that was possibly related to other burglaries.

The property and the vehicle were seized for evidence. Both Dustin Gamble and Larissa Retchless were charged with Burglary of a Habitation and Gamble was also charged with Theft over $1500 and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1.

Both are still currently being held in the Wichita County Jail.

    A new communications tower being proposed in Wichita Falls is raising concerns. One local business owner fears the tower will scare away visitors driving along the highway. The proposed location is currently 1212 Broad Street, near the Motel 6 off 12th Street.  The communications tower is expected to be nearly 165 feet high, and is located near several business and the overpass.

    According to the Wichita Falls Police Department, Rodney Scott Womack, 38, was driving southbound on Central Freeway around 10:45 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle.
