Suspect Charged for Lawton Murder

A man has been charged in connection with the shooting murder of Johnny Allen.

Johnny Allen was shot in a Super 8 Hotel on March 7th. Allen and a co-worker were staying there while on a work trip for a construction company.

Officer's responded to a call regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a Johnny Allen lying on the floor of the hotel room suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. There was also a second male in the room that was not injured. The victim was transported to Comanche County Memorial Hospital for treatment where he died from his wounds.

According to the second male, Long entered the room through an open door and produced a gun. Long told both men to get on the floor, but a physical confrontation ensued between Long and Allen. Allen was then shot numerous times and Long fled the scene.

Long was charged Friday with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.

He is currently serving a prison sentence on drug and gun charges out of Comanche County at Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester.

Long is expected to be returned to Comanche County within a week for his initial court appearance.
