For the last month, Hospice of Wichita Falls has raised money with their Tree of Lights Campaign.
Their goal was $200,000 and we are happy to report that they met that goal and then some.
The star on top of the tree was lit for the first time tonight. It will stay on throughout the Christmas season.
"It started out pretty slow this weekend. I was a little nervous until about noon time and then the donations started coming in more steadily. United was busy today. Hospice of Wichita Falls office was busy and, of course, we had people calling in and pledging on radio day, too," said Alisa Echols, the CEO of Hospice of Wichita Falls.
The money raised goes to make sure no one is turned away, who needs hospice care.
Hospice will be at United Market Street through Saturday, if you would still like to donate..
