W.F.P.D. Officers Respond to Home Invasion on Britain Street

At 10:45 Saturday morning, Wichita Falls Police Officers responded to the 1500 block of Britain St. for a home invasion.

A resident had reported that he had heard knocking at his door and when he went to answer the door, two Hispanic males forced their way inside of the resident's home.

One of the suspects held the resident at knife point while the other went through the home.

A family member arrived at the residence and began to fight back against the suspects.  The resident held down one suspect until W.F.P.D. Officers arrived.  During the struggle, the resident was cut on his face. The suspect received minor injuries.

The other suspect fled the scene with stolen drugs and money.

The resident was taken to the United Regional Hospital.

One of the suspects, who is 16-years-old, was arrested for burglary and will be taken to juvenile detention.

W.F.P.D. says that this is an isolated incident and it appears that the resident was targeted.
