Quanah Coach Sims Leaving for Childress

The first dominoes have fallen in the off-season game of high school coaching change around Texoma.

Quanah's Jason Sims has been chosen as the next head coach of the Childress Bobcats.

Sims and his wife are Childress natives, so it's understandable why they'd want to make the short move back home.

Sims led the Indians to a 38-24 record in five seasons, making the playoffs every year he was there.

The vacant job has not yet been officially posted on Quanah ISD's website, but a search will begin quickly.

Bryson Seeking New Coach

The coaching search season actually got started about a week ago, as Bryson ISD posted its Head Coach/Athletic Director position on the ESC 9 website.

Bill Reed had a 4-16 record in two seasons with the Cowboys.
