Intersection Enhancement Project Begins

Wichita Falls, Texas- The Intersection Enhancement Project contracted for the intersection of 8th and Ohio will begin today, Friday January 16th.

The contractor, Duke Construction Company, will place barricades around the intersection to enable work to begin.

Vehicle traffic will not be allowed to pass through the intersection during construction. Access to all businesses will be maintained for the duration of the project. Access to the dead end portion of 8th Street will be permitted by using La Salle Street and Depot Alley.

The project is scheduled to be completed by June 2015, weather permitting.

The city realizes this will be challenging for the traveling public and business owners. We apologize for the inconvenience. For questions or assistance please contact Blane Boswell, P.E., Project Manager, at 940-761-7477.
