Texoma Continues To Celebrate The Legacy of MLK Jr.

Texoma continued to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Saturday with the MLK Day of Service at the Youth Opportunities Center in Wichita Falls.

People at the MLK Day of Service were able to contribute to a mural to continue Dr. King's dream, make bracelets with veterans and make cards for veterans thanking them for their service.

“The most important part about this is everyone coming together and showing unity within the community.  Also showing love for our veterans because they are the true celebrities and they should be honored every day,” said volunteer, Mark Tibbett.

Participants of the MLK Day of Service included the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 41, American Legion Post 41 and the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.
