Citizens Should Be Aware of Fake Website

Wichita Falls, Texas- The Wichita Falls Police Department is investigating the creation and use of a website fashioned to look and operate as part of the City's website. The website in question, http://cityofwichitafallstx.org/, is not a City of Wichita Falls site and citizens are advised not to use it in any way. 

The web page uses a city employee's contact information and the City logo.The email and phone numbers listed are not associated with the City. Concern has been raised by vendors who do business with the City who were directed to the site. 

Citizens who are directed to this page or who receive emails from this address, @cityofwichitafallstx.org, to conduct business with or contact the City are encouraged to call the non-emergency number for the Police Department, 940-761-7792.
