Memorial Set for K-9 Killed in Line of Duty

A K-9 that was killed in the line of duty last Wednesday is being honored today.

A public memorial service honoring the life and service of the beloved K-9, Deputy Pepper, will be at 2 p.m. on February 4 at Grace Fellowship Church, 2964 HWY 114 in Paradise.

Deputy Pepper was tragically killed in the line of duty on January 28 while searching for a suspect in a wooded field in Montague County. Wise County Sheriff David Walker said Deputy Pepper is credited with saving the lives of five law enforcement officers, including his handler Sgt. J.T. Manoushagian with the Wise County Sheriff's Office.
