The old Wichita Falls Municipal Airport Terminal is prepped and ready for demolition.
The power has been cut; gas is shut off, Freon removed from air conditioning units and usable furnishings repurposed. Demolition will begin Monday, February 9th at 1 p.m.
After the old terminal has been demolished, the location will be used for a new parking lot for the new airport terminal.
Planning and construction of the 55,000 sq. ft. new airport terminal started in 2009. City officials are hoping the estimated $32 million dollar project will help increase passengers who fly out of the city.
