The youth of Texoma gathered to stand up and take a stance promoting tobacco prevention during the 2015 SayWhat! Texas Tobacco-Free Action Summit.
This event was hosted by the Texas School Safety Center and is a peer-led training session that brings middle school and high school students together for effective tobacco prevention activities.
Many of the youth in attendance went to Midwestern State University to pick up cigarette butts on campus.
The most important part is that we work as a team. We can all work as a team and say yes we can stop tobacco (usage),” said attendee Mercedes McMillian.
