The Wichita Falls Police Department arrested a woman after an audit revealed a hefty amount of cash missing from a Wichita Falls car dealership.
Police say 39-year-old Ladonna Lashelle Adams is charged with theft over $1500. According to the arrest affidavit, a manager at Patterson Economy Kars located on Central Freeway made the discovery in November, and reported that over $2000 in cash payments was missing.
An audit was conducted, and police say that audit uncovered how the cash vanished. Police say Adams is accused of accepting cash on loans, but didn't write it down and then kept the money.
Authorities say this had been going on since June.
