Burkburnett's Bigford Signs with Cisco JC

Burkburnett HS baseball player Trey Bigford signed Thursday night to play at Cisco Junior College.

Bigford batted .506 as a junior in 2013-14, with 19 triples and 21 runs batted in for the Bulldogs.

He's also played many years with the Burkburnett Blacksox club team, which is why he chose to sign his letter of intent at their facility.

He said playing club baseball helps improve your skills, while playing high school ball is better for learning how to handle pressure, with the bigger crowds it attracts.

"[The Blacksox] have been behind me the whole way," Bigford said Thursday. "Mickey Cornelius is a great man. He's always been behind me and helping guide me to the right places, so I'm very thankful for him."
