Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault

An Iowa Park man is in the Wichita County Jail tonight on a $750,000 bond for what police say happened to a woman he'd known for nearly 30 years.

Police say the incident started on February 27th, and ended March 2nd, when the woman was found crying and in need of medical attention at a motel on 8th street in Wichita Falls.

According to the arrest affidavit, 43-year-old Michael Scott Greene is accused of threatening and attacking, along with sexually assaulting and harassing, a female acquaintance.

The woman told police Greene had gone so far as to drive her near the main gate of Sheppard Air Force Base, and kept telling her he was going to kill her.

The affidavit also states that Greene coerced the women with threats, and while inside the motel room on 8th street Greene punched, kicked, bit and used a knife to threaten the woman.

Greene was arrested and booked into jail Thursday night, he has been charged with Aggravated Assault Family Violence.
