Accident on Kemp Blocks Traffic

Wichita Falls Police said the driver of a Jeep escaped serious injury despite the vehicle rolling on its side during a mid-afternoon accident on Kemp Street.

The crash caught the eye of other drivers at the nearby busy intersection of Kemp and Call Field at around 1:15 p.m.

Police say the jeep was behind a Hummer, and that both vehicles were heading in the southbound lanes. The driver of the hummer slowed down for other traffic, while the Jeep's driver tried to scoot around in another lane.

Police say the Jeep clipped the backside of the Hummer, which caused the Jeep to roll onto its side.

Police also say no one was hurt or taken to the hospital.
