Wheels N' Thrills 2015

The 2015 Wheels & Thrills Expo hosted by Patterson's Family of Dealerships and Newschannel 6 kicked off Saturday morning at the Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall.

The expo featured the hottest new cars, trucks, motorcycles and much more all in one convenient location that the whole family can enjoy. Lamonte Myles of Patterson Auto group said the event provides a relaxed, stress free atmosphere for both consumers and salesmen.

"People want to sometimes look I mean looking is the first step to buying so we respect that so in most cases we just offer some assistance hand me a card and introduce ourselves and if we can be of any assistance I mean feel free to just give us a shout," said Myles.

However, it's not all about the cars. Keith Cash of Harley Davidson is busy polishing off bikes most of the day.

Fingerprints are deadly everybody touches them because they are so pretty so we have to wipe them off and keep them looking nice," said Cash.

There is also time for nonprofits like Christmas In Action to raise money for their good causes. The CIA works to help elderly and low income locals in Wichita County with various house projects.

"What we're doing is we're selling raffle tickets to help Christmas in action do what we do best and that is take care of the elders' homes and we have to have the money to do that so we're selling these raffle tickets in hopes to take care of all of our clients in the next year," said Ahearn.

Doors opened at 10 a.m. and wrapped up at 5 p.m., with door prizes drawn throughout the day. The event will continue Sunday from 11-5.
