Man Charged with Impersonating a Public Servant

A Dallas man is sitting behind bars tonight in the Wichita County Jail after he was charged with Impersonating a Public Servant.

Burkburnett police arrested 33-year-old Chad Burton Christie Sunday afternoon in the 900 block of Sheppard Road, after they'd been dispatched there regarding a call about a reckless driver.

According to the arrest affidavit, Christie admitted to approaching a vehicle and telling the four people inside that he was an FBI Agent, and that he was helping neighborhood agencies by conducting DWI enforcement at a convenience store.

The arrest affidavit also stated that Christie asked for a person's driver's license, made her submit to a "field sobriety" test, and proceeded to take pictures of the license and the vehicle's license plate.

He is jailed on a $25,000 bond.
