More Affordable Housing Coming to Wichita Falls

The Wichita Falls City Council came to a resolution that awarded seven project based rental assistance Housing Choice Vouchers for a proposed affordable housing project located at 4620 Barnett Road named Reserves at Summit West.

The seven vouchers are worth $600,000.

The builders of the new affordable housing project are going to be Overland Property Group. The new 36-unit apartment complex would look exactly like Reserves on Maplewood.

The new affordable housing complex is expected to be completed in 2017.

Around 365 people are on the current waiting list for housing, it comes out to a four month wait for a place to stay.
